BigMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe63%) index remained stable at INR 9,850/t ($113/t) DAP Raipur on 11 March 2025 compared to the previous assessment on 7 March. In this publishing window, around 35,000 t pellets (Fe62/63%) deals were concluded by Raipur based steelmaker at INR 9,600-9,800/t exw Raipur. Around 10,000 t higher grade pellet (Fe65%) also concluded in the Raipur region.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, held steady d-o-d at INR 36,700/tonne (t) DAP on 11 March 2025.
Sponge iron prices witnessed a steady decline today, dropping by INR 100-200/tonne (t) across location.PDRI prices were assessed at around INR 24,000-27,000/t at close of trading today, while CDRI prices were at INR 26,550-31,000/t.Approximately 8,500 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country 11 March compared to 5,600 t on 10 March.
